What Silicon Valley is Talking About: The controversial memo written by a male Google engineer that argued in part that there are "biological" reasons behind the gender gap in tech. Google CEO Sundar Picha cut his vacation short and told employees in an email that the memo advanced "harmful gender stereotypes," and Reuters and Bloomberg report the employee who wrote the memo has been fired. Trump's Been Tweeting A Lot on Vacation...: The joke in Washington is that rain in Bedminster, New Jersey, kept Trump inside watching TV and tweeting instead of outside golfing. Here's the forecast there the rest of the week: | | Credit: CNN But Did He Tweet a Russian Bot? On Saturday, Trump tweeted "Thank you Nicole" to a tweet from the account @protrump45. "He's just pushing a narrative, whether it's true or false. This provides a window not just for Russia but for any adversary to both influence the president or discredit him." Yahoo Finance, however, says @protrump45 was actually connected to a site claiming to sell pro-Trump items. The 29-year-old Kaepernick remains unsigned, leading some, including Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, to believe his decision to take a knee during the national anthem last season has something to do with it. Baldwin told ESPN: "I definitely think that the league, the owners are trying to send a message of, 'Stay in between the lines.'" | | Credit: @SpikeLee/Twitter Mapping America's Musical Tastes: The New York Times used YouTube data to map out musicians' relative popularity across the country.
