On GPS at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN: First, Fareed gives his Take on why the response to the events in Charlottesville has been so disappointing, especially among the country's political and business leadership. "Much of America has reacted swiftly and strongly to Donald Trump's grotesque suggestion that there is a moral equivalence between the white supremacists who converged last weekend on Charlottesville, Virginia, and those who protested against them," Fareed says. "But the delayed, qualified and often mealymouthed reactions of many in America's leadership class tell a disturbing story about the country's elites -- and the reason we are living in an age of populist rebellion." Then, Fareed digs into the issue further with a panel that includes the New Yorker's Robin Wright, who in a recent article for the magazine posed the question: Is America headed for a new kind of civil war? Also joining Fareed to discuss the issue are Angela Rye, a CNN political commentator, Roy Blount Jr, a former reporter and author of "Robert E. Lee: A Life," and Mark Lilla, a professor at Columbia University and author of "The Once and Future Liberal." Watch Rye discuss identity politics in America Also on the show: Fareed discusses the attacks in Spain with CNN national security analyst David Bergen. Cohen about the Iran nuclear deal – and President Trump's claim that he does not believe Tehran is in compliance with the agreement.
