What Washington is Talking About:
The House Ways and Means Committee continues markup of the tax reform bill today. Yesterday's session included yelling and name-calling, with Rep. Sandy Levin, a Michigan Democrat, describing committee chair Rep. Lloyd Doggett, a Democrat from Texas, as an "authoritarian."

What America is Talking About:
That glitch on your iPhone lately where it's been turning some of the things you type into gibberish, like when you type "I" and it comes out as "A ⍰." Here's how to fix it.

Poll of the Day:
The percentage of Americans who believe the Russia investigation is mainly an attempt to discredit the Trump presidency has shrunk, from 38% in August to 32% in November, according to a CNN poll.

Former Trump Foreign Policy Adviser Admitted to New Contact with Russians:
The Russia story's plot thickens... again. In transcripts of testimony from former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page to the House Intelligence Committee released last night, Page said he asked for permission and guidance on what to say when he was invited to speak in Russia in July 2016, after joining the campaign, and that he briefly met with the Russian deputy prime minister and possibly other senior government officials, he said. Page also visited Russia in December 2016 and saw the deputy prime minister again.

Exclusive: There's a Shepard Fairey Documentary Coming Out on Hulu and This is the Trailer:
Shepard Fairey is the Beyoncé of political street art. You can spot his "Obey Giant" stickers on signs in cities across the country, his "Obama Hope" poster was acquired by the Smithsonian in 2009, and his "We The People" series was ubiquitous at women's marches this January. Hulu's "Obey Giant: The Art and Dissent of Shepard Fairey" covers all of it, from his earliest political art (putting a giant Andre the Giant sticker over a mayoral candidate in Rhode Island) to the AP suit over "Obama Hope."

It's out Saturday, and COVER/LINE readers get the first look at the trailer here.

Trumps Says "We're Making A Lot of Progress" on North Korea:
The Trumps arrived in South Korea today, and at a joint news conference with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, President Trump said progress is being made to contain North Korea and that the US and its allies are "showing great strength." "We have many things happening that we hope ... to God we never have to use," he said.

The Trumps visited the Blue House in Seoul, where South Korea's President lives. They signed the guest book: "This is such a great honor. Thank you!"

Dress Like the First Lady:
Even away from COVER/LINE this week, Kate's a fashion detective. She found the coat Melania wore arriving in South Korea, a burgundy wool-and-linen blend structured coat from Delpozo, available for $4,756. Delpozo is the same designer behind the bright pink coat she wore to speak to spouses of world leaders at a United Nations luncheon in New York City in September; the sleeves are the giveaway.

Rand Paul's Neighbor, Charged with Assault, Wasn't Acting Politically:
Rene Boucher, Rand Paul's neighbor who was charged Monday with assault, has had a years-long tension with Paul over yard waste, a neighbor who asked not to be identified told CNN. A lawyer for Boucher, Matthew Baker, said in a statement:

"The unfortunate occurrence of November 3 has absolutely nothing to do with either's politics or political agenda. It was a very regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial."

The Woman Who Flipped Off Trump's Motorcade Last Month Got Fired for It:
Juli Briskman, 50, gave Trump's motorcade the bird on October 28, when he was traveling from his golf course in Virginia back to the White House, and a photographer captured the moment. Briskman told CNN she's "not really" the bird-flipping type, but her finger said what she was feeling and she assumed it would probably get back to her company, government-contracting firm Akima. It did, and she was fired for violations of the company's social media guidelines. The gesture, she said, was the result of her frustration with Trump's recent performance:

"Health care doesn't pass, but you try to dismantle it from the inside. Five-hundred people get shot in Las Vegas; you're doing nothing about it. You know, white supremacists have this big march and hurt a bunch of people down in Charlottesville and you call them good people."

But even unemployed, she doesn't regret it. "I'd do it again," she told the Washington Post.

Is This What 2018 is Gonna Be Like for Repubs Running in States Where Trump is Unpopular?:
Republican Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie was photobombed in Alexandria this morning after voting in today's election with people holding "Trump-Gillespie" signs, linking him to the unpopular President, who lost Virginia in 2016 to Clinton.

Taylor Swift's Lawyers Sent a Letter Over an Article Calling on her to Denounce White Supremacy:
The ACLU of Northern California announced Monday it's defending Meghan Herning, a writer who said she received an "intimidating" four-page letter from Taylor Swift's attorney for an article she wrote on PopFront.us titled "Swiftly to the alt-right: Taylor subtly gets the lower case kkk in formation." The article notes how white supremacists have come out as fans of Swift and alleges there are racist dog whistles in Swift's lyrics and public persona. Herning called Swift's failure to denounce white supremacists "calculated," and said if it is not, that Swift should come out against them.

You can read the full letter from Swift's attorney here, provided by the ACLU. In it, attorney William Briggs writes that the idea the singer supports white supremacy is "utterly fabricated" and calls Herning's article defamatory.

The Latest Weinstein Must-Read:
Ronan Farrow has a *wild* story out today in the New Yorker accusing Harvey Weinstein of attempting to track women he allegedly assaulted -- and journalists digging into those allegations -- using private investigators. It's some spy movie-level stuff.
