Happy St. Patrick's Day and hello to all our Irish readers! For the rest of you, fun fact: St. Patrick wasn't actually Irish. Here's what else you need to know to Get Up to Speed and Out the Door.

Coronavirus

Cancellations due to the coronavirus outbreak keep piling up. The May SAT exam has been canceled, and far more fun events, like NASCAR races and the Kentucky Derby, have been postponed. Meanwhile, Attorney General William Barr is asking federal prosecutors to crack down on fraudsters looking to cash in on the virus through fake cures and email scams. If you have someone in your life who's holding out on taking proper safety precautions, tell them the President said so. President Trump announced official White House guidelines, which advise all Americans to avoid gatherings of 10 or more people and suggest older people stay home entirely. In California, 7 million residents have been ordered to shelter in place. As for when life might return to normal? "Could be July, could be longer than that," Trump said. The virus has now infected more than 182,000 worldwide, with more than 4,400 in the US, and killed about 7,100, including at least 87 in the US. Keep up with the latest here

Election 2020

Florida, Arizona and Illinois hold primary elections today. Ohio was supposed to join them, but Gov. Mike DeWine announced late last night that polls will be closed in the state today due to public health concerns. DeWine said it would be an unacceptable health risk to move forward with the elections. Louisiana, Georgia and Kentucky have also postponed their primaries. Joe Biden goes into today's contests with a few more wins under his belt. He is projected to win the Washington state primary nearly a week after it began (it is a mail-in voting state). He also picked up an endorsement from journalist and fashion legend Anna Wintour. Here are six things to watch for in today's balloting.

Iraq

The US-led military coalition in Iraq is closing some of its smaller bases after the recent spate of rocket attacks in the region. However, coalition officials stressed that the move to relocate was planned months ago and is unrelated to the attacks. The troops will be repositioned to other bases within Iraq and will continue to work with Iraqi forces to combat ISIS' influence. If you'll recall, the Iraqi parliament voted for a nonbinding resolution to eject US forces from Iraq after the January rocket attack that killed an Iranian general. Despite the vote, the US and its coalition allies have shown no signs of leaving until now.

Russian trolls

Two Russian companies have been dropped as defendants in a Russian troll farm case brought by former special counsel Robert Mueller in connection with the findings of last year's Russia investigation. The case originally had 16 defendants, all accused of interfering with the 2016 US election. Two of those defendants, Concord Catering and Concord Management, will no longer be involved in the trial after prosecutors told the court they didn't think Concord Management was sincerely preparing its defense for trial. This case was one of the most significant ones brought forward by Mueller and exposed a major part of the 2016 Russian influence operation in the US.

Apple

France's commercial regulator has hit Apple with a $1.2 billion antitrust fine over restrictions it placed in contracts with wholesalers. It's the biggest penalty of its kind the French Competition Authority has ever levied. The authority said Apple agreed not to compete with two of its wholesalers. This, they alleged, threw off the whole Apple product market because other distributors couldn't offer things like promotions or lower prices. This is the second big fine France has slapped on Apple this year. The company was fined about $28 million last month for deliberately slowing down older iPhones
