What Washington is Talking About:
The Senate this week is expected to debate and vote on a banking bill that would loosen restrictions on small- and medium-sized banks. Nothing expected this week on guns.

What America is Talking About:
The Oscars. "The Shape of Water" won for Best Picture and Jimmy Kimmel made some jokes about President Trump, Fox News and Hope Hicks' resignation. You can see the best red carpet looks here.

What the White House is Talking About:
Trump is meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, who's in town to speak at AIPAC. A White House official tells CNN Jared Kushner will participate in the talks with Netanyahu. It will be J-Kush's first major engagement since losing his top secret security clearance, and Israel was one of the four countries US officials say discussed how they could manipulate him.

Trump's One Tariff Change:
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro told our Jake Tapper no country would be exempt from Trump's proposed steel and aluminum tariff, but Trump tweeted this morning a new NAFTA deal could get Canada and Mexico out of it.

Trump Jokes About Melania Leaving Him:
Trump brought the jokes during the Gridiron Dinner Saturday (as well as the meta commentary about which jokes he thought would do well and which would bomb). My favorites, about Melania:

"So many people have been leaving the White House. It's actually been really exciting and invigorating 'cause you want new thoughts. So, I like turnover. I like chaos. It really is good. Now the question everyone keeps asking is, 'Who is going to be the next to leave? Steve Miller or Melania?'"

And Kushner:

"I wanted to apologize for arriving a little bit late. You know, we're late tonight because Jared could not get through the security. I will tell you he is a good guy. And he has suffered. He is a great guy."

And Hopefully, This Also Was a Joke...:
Speaking to Repub donors in Florida Saturday, Trump brought up Chinese President Xi Jinping, who's moving to abolish term limits. "He's now president for life," Trump said, according to audio obtained by CNN. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot someday."

Jeff Flake Thinks a Repub Will Challenge Trump in 2020:
Sen. Flake told David Axelrod Saturday he believes Trump will face a primary challenge in 2020, but he's not currently planning on being the one to do it. He said:

"I think the fever will have to cool. There's not much place for a Republican like me in a party like this right now."

But what about down the road? Flake said "the future may be coming" for an independent candidate. Flake will be in New Hampshire, an early primary state that presidential candidate hopefuls tend to spend a lot of time in, a week from Friday to speak at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics. Hmm...

The Obamas Try Out the New Hank's Oyster Bar:
They were spotted Friday at the restaurant's new location at the Wharf with a group that included former senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. Hank's chef Jamie Leeds tweeted that she was "star-struck" by the former first couple and "almost called Michelle, Madame President."

Charles Barkley Encourages Athletes to Speak Up:
During his SNL monologue, Barkley encouraged athletes to speak their mind, calling out LeBron James in particular ("keep on dribbling and don't ever shut up," he said). His reasoning:

"A lot of times athletes are worried that speaking out will hurt their career. Here's something that contradicts all of that: Me. I've been saying whatever the hell I want for 30 years and I'm doing great. I'm hosting SNL for the fourth time for no reason."

I mean, the man has a point.

Dwyane Wade Again Pays Tribute to Parkland Victim:
The Miami Heat star wore custom red shoes with the logo and mascot for Stoneman Douglas High School and victim Joaquin Oliver's name across the tongue to Saturday's game. He also met with Oliver's parents, per the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro. It was the second time in a week Wade honored Oliver; last Tuesday, he wrote the teenager's name on his sneakers.

Olympic Athlete from Russia Was Hiding Something:
Figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva posted a video on Instagram showing her ripping up her neutral O.A.R. scarf to reveal there was a Russian flag inside, because of course there was.

Madame President:
Netflix released a short trailer for the final Kevin Spacey-less season of "House of Cards," featuring Robin Wright as Claire Underwood in the Oval Office. I'm screaming.

Street Art Sighting:
It's not exactly street art, but it's skate art. I spotted this board of Trump shaking hands with a Klansman at the Denver International Airport.
