What the White House is Talking About:
It's "Made in America" week in the Trump administration. Today the president attends a made-in-America product showcase, which actually sounds fun and very game show-y.

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
The ongoing Russia investigation; the fate of Trump's healthcare plan in the Senate; what, exactly, in Trump-world is actually made in America.
Briefing: Off-camera with Sean Spicer at 2pm. There has not been an on-camera briefing since June 29.

"That's Politics!":
This morning, Trump tweeted again in defense of Donald Trump Jr.
Those Polls Tho:
Three new polls out point to Trump's sagging approval ratings. A Washington Post/ABC News poll released over the weekend found only 36% of Americans approve of Trump's performance in the Oval Office, the lowest approval rating at the six-month mark of any president in 70 years. It's fallen from 42% since the last WaPo/ABC News poll, taken at Trump's 100-day mark. But Trump's not stressing it. A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll focused on Trump's base, which seems to be holding steady on support. And a Bloomberg poll centered on the economy and found 58% of those polled feel good about their financial future. But the same poll found only a 40% approval rating for Trump.

I'm Not Crying, You're Crying:
Joe Biden's memoir is dropping November 14th and its title is "Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose." He'll do a sit-down with Oprah before it comes out and also go on a book tour, so prep for those spontaneous Biden hot takes. This is the first of a three-book deal Biden signed in April with Flatiron Books (one of the three will be co-written with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden).

Hunter's on a Road Trip:
See info below! I miss him, but we can all follow his journey via our @CNNCoverline Instagram and his Twitter feed and this newsletter.
I Can't Stop Watching Alex Ovechkin's Love Video:
Literally. Like, I'm on my 17th time. Please, if you have a moment, watch it. It was posted by his now-wife, Nastya Ovechkina, on her Instagram page. The two were married near Moscow last week. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram and called the couple on their wedding day. According to Ovechkina's Insta story, he also sent a tea set with a card that said: "Congratulations on your marriage. I wish the young family which united today Alexander Ovechkin and Anastasia Shubskaya prosperity, luck, and the accomplishment of plans. Have as many happy bright and happy days as possible. Let love and understanding always rule in your home. Be healthy, successful, and all the best."

HBD, Arabella!:

According to Ivanka Trump's Twitter page, today is the 6th birthday of her eldest child, Arabella Kushner. I admit that Arabella is my favorite Trump grandchild; she's precocious, speaks Chinese, and is often snapped posing, showcased by Ivanka's social media. Personality, this one.

What Washington is Talking About:
Sen. John McCain underwent surgery Friday to remove a blood clot, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced he was deferring the vote on health care while McCain is recovering.

What America is Talking About:
Ann Coulter got into a Twitter fight with Delta Air Lines.

Poll of the Day:
A Washington Post-ABC News poll found that 63% of Americans believe the meeting that music publicist Rob Goldstone set up between DJTJ, other Trump campaign members and a Russian lawyer was inappropriate, while 26% said it was appropriate.

Caitlyn Jenner Says She's "Considered" Senate Run:
In an interview on New York radio station AM 970 Sunday, Jenner said she's open to running for Senate. "Over the next six months or so I gotta find out where I can do a better job. Can I do a better job on the outside? Or are you better off from the inside?" she said. "And we are in the process of determining that."

Dems on Kid Rock: This Is No Joke:
Senate Democrats are raising money for Michigan's Sen. Debbie Stabenow off a potential Kid Rock candidacy. Elizabeth Warren wrote in a fundraising email: "Sure, maybe this is just a marketing gimmick for a new album or tour — but we all thought Donald Trump was just promoting his reality TV show, too." Chuck Schumer wrote, "I'll be honest, we don't know if this is real, a joke, or a bizarre publicity stunt. But I'll tell you this: I don't find it funny."

Kamala Meets with Clinton Donors:
Sen. Kamala Harris was in the Hamptons this weekend meeting with Clinton donors at the home of former Hillary Clinton national finance chair Michael Kempner, per Page Six. Harris said in May she's not giving a 2020 presidential run "any consideration."

Goldstone Cuts "Gap Year" Short:
Music publicist Rob Goldstone, who sent the email to Donald Trump Jr. asking to set up a meeting with a Russian lawyer, has returned to the United States, according to the Daily Mail. Goldstone wrote on his Facebook page last month that he was going on a "gap year" and has posted photos from Greece, but he's been silent on the social network since his emails became public.

Meanwhile, Tiffany is Living Her Best Life:
Tiffany Trump was spotted last week in Capri, off the coast of the Italian peninsula, as the rest of her family dealt with the DJTJ email controversy. She's apparently still there: Paparazzi spotted Tiff and mother Marla Maples Saturday, and Maples posted this shot yesterday:

The Great American Road Trip 2017:
I'm hitting the road for the next two weeks on my way to California, where Kate and I are presenting at Politicon, and I'm taking the scenic route. You can follow my travels in COVER/LINE and on Instagram -- both @hunterschwarz and the @cnncoverline account -- where I'll be posting about the trip and the people I meet. It's part political tourism, part road trip journalism, powered by energy drinks and sunflower seeds.

Also, I'm on the lookout for good tunes for the drive, especially classic rock and country (this is a road trip, after all). Send me a playlist to coverlinehunter@cnn.com (I'm on Spotify and Apple Music) -- I'd love to give it a spin.
Street Art Sighting:
In a now-infamous email, DJTJ told Goldstone "I love it" about the proffered dirt on Hillary Clinton. The phrase showed up on this sign outside DC eatery Tortilla Coast (pic sent in by Ali Ehrlich).
