Trump Didn't Know, Says His Lawyer: Plus, he called DJTJ's post-email "Hannity" hit "good"

Trump Hotel Customers Hacked: 14 properties, including the Washington hotel, have been affected

What the White House is Talking About:
It's Day Three of no public events on the schedule for President Trump, who departs for Paris tonight with first lady Melania Trump.

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
It's Day Three of no public events on the schedule for President Trump. Whether scandal fatigue, or just plain old fatigue, the President is laying low.
Briefing status: at 3 p.m. ET, Sarah Huckabee Sanders again leads an off-camera, audio-embargoed-until-completion White House press briefing. The last time they held an on-camera briefing was June 29.

But First, Tweets:
Everything's fine, guys. Trump is not watching TV, and ISIS is backing down, and Hillary Clinton is still on his mind sometimes.
Trump Didn't Know, Says His Lawyer:
Jay Sekulow, one of the President's personal attorneys, has been making the TV rounds, saying Trump was unaware of Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer, and didn't see the emails until Tuesday, when the rest of us did. It's a distance between father and son that sort of breaks with the narrative that his closest relatives are his closest advisers. As per Don Jr.'s appearance on "Hannity" last night, Trump this morning tweeted he thought his son did a "good job." "Good" is not a top-of-the-list adjective in Trump's typical roster of superlatives: "tremendous," "outstanding," "very, very good," "terrific," "fantastic" and "wonderful" far outrank merely "good." Just sayin'.

This Pic of Trump's Prayer Circle:
Do you think you need to get permission from the White House before you post a close-up picture of a presidential prayer circle like this one that Johnnie Moore tweeted last night?

I'm asking because it seems a little personal in nature? Vice President Pence is in it, too. Either way, Moore said in a previous tweet that a group of evangelical leaders met "all day" with the White House Office of Public Liaison. And today, word that the President will do a sit-down interview with Pat Robertson for CBN, before he departs for Paris; the full interview will air tomorrow.

Eric Trump is At Bedminster:
Once again, Eric Trump's wife's Instagram feed is there to keep us up to date on what Eric Trump is doing while his older brother, Don Jr., is on the hot seat. Per Lara Lea Trump, she and Eric hosted a reception Tuesday to kick off the US Women's Open golf tournament at the Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster.

Obama, Also Golfing:
A tipster tells me former President Barack Obama was hitting balls Tuesday at the Army Navy Country Club's driving range near Arlington, Virginia, and when asked by a fellow golfer how his summer was going, Obama replied, "Great!" I mean, vacations, golf, paid speaking gigs, dining out, better jeans ... he's living his best summer. An email to Obama's spokesman to see if he has joined the Army Navy club, which is the buzz among members, was not immediately returned.
Meryl Streep Might Want to Take Up Golf:
Because she's in deep Obama withdrawals, apparently. A paparazzo snapped the actress Tuesday in New York, carrying a purse with a picture of Michelle and Barack Obama on it, which, let's be honest, is a little weird. But, I'm not going to judge. In fact, if you're interested in literally toting the Obamas around with you, here's a similar option, on sale for $89:

Today in Good News:
Although still in serious condition and continuing to fight an infection, Congressman Steve Scalise has been released from intensive care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

What Washington is Talking About:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has delayed August recess to give members more time to get stuff done. It's the political equivalent of the principal putting summer vacation on hold.

What America is Talking About:
The MLB All-Star Game. The American League beat the National League 2-1.

Trump Hotel Customers Hacked:
The company said in a statement that an unauthorized party gained access to payment card information, guest names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses for some customers at the below 14 properties, including the Trump International Hotel in Washington through a service provider used by the hotels.

Where's Tiffany?:
While her half-brother finds himself in the middle of a political firestorm, Tiffany Trump was spotted Monday on a 130-foot yacht anchored in a harbor on Capri, an island off the coast of the Italian peninsula, with her mother, Marla Maples, paparazzi shots show.

Emin's Attorney Says Music Publicist's Email to Don Jr. is "Not True":
Emin, the Russian pop star mentioned in DJTJ's email with music publicist Rob Goldstone about meeting to discuss allegedly incriminating information about Hillary Clinton as "part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump," wasn't actually involved in attempts to collude with the Trump campaign, an attorney for him and his billionaire developer father, Aras Agalarov, told CNN.

"It's simply fiction that this was some effort to create a conduit for information from the Russian federal prosecutors to the Trump campaign," Scott Balber said on "New Day" this morning. He said what Goldstone wrote in the email "is not true," and said, "If there was something important that Mr. Agalarov wanted to communicate to the Trump campaign, I suspect he could have called Mr. Trump directly as opposed to having his son's pop music publicist be the intermediary."

Politics for Your Ears:
Emin has had only one song that's charted on a US Billboard chart, the neo-disco track "Boomerang," featuring Nile Rodgers, which you can spin here (it's soundtracking this whole scandal for me this week; I'm spinning it non-stop). It peaked in 2015 at No. 9 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and Emin posted this shot of Billboard Magazine on Instagram when it hit the Dance Club Songs Top 10.

Ariana Grande Granted Honorary Citizenship:
Council members in Manchester, England, voted unanimously today to make the singer an honorary citizen for her One Love benefit concert after the May 22 terrorist attack outside her show there. "She, as an artist, a performer, was determined that she would not perform again until she had returned to Manchester to perform," council leader Richard Leese said.

YouTube Has a New Top Video:
Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" has overtaken Psy's "Gangnam Style" as the most-watched video on YouTube. It had 2,901,258,827 views as of Wednesday morning.
