Tucked away in Poland's beautiful Tatra Mountains lives a 15th-century cheese making tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Known as oscypek, the milky, smoky cheese is made entirely by hand by masters called "bacas." Traditionally, the method is passed from fathers to sons, but Janina Rzepka has worked towards becoming one of the few female masters of the craft.
Nothing says romance like a disfigured alien corpse, right? For Ed and Marsha Edmunds, that's love. The husband-and-wife team loves monsters almost as much as they love each other, and have built a business around their shared interest in out-of-this-world (and often terrifying) creatures.
A Waking Nightmare
Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to a ghoulish figure at the foot of your bed. You try to escape when you realize … you can't move. For the countless people who suffer from sleep paralysis, every night can be a living nightmare. The sleep disorder causes those affected to wake up in a semi-conscious, paralyzed state, oftentimes coupled with frightening hallucinations and spooky sounds.
