Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton opened the meeting, and Chairman Greg Penner said Walmart is, "well positioned for the tectonic changes happening in retail" as other stores face mass closures, citing its purchase of Jet.com. Walmart is the largest retailer in the world, and employs 1.5 million associates in the US. Unemployment Hits New Low: Unemployment dropped to 4.3% in May, the lowest it's been since May 2001. Why People Didn't Vote in 2016: Pew has new data on why registered voters didn't cast a ballot in November, and 25% said it was because they "did not like candidates or campaign issues," a historic high. It used to be that applicants were disqualified if they used marijuana a certain number of times, but the new policy would allow applicants to join based on their last use of the drug and how old they are. Speaking of Drugs and Politics...: "Trump" is now a popular street name for meth, according to a survey by Addictions.com. The survey also found "Nixon" and "Lady Gaga" are popular street names for marijuana and cocaine, respectively.
