"If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough." 2/15/18 Racing With an Olympic Speed Skater Brittany Bowe is an American long-track speed skater competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Athletes race at speeds of up to 36 mph, and champions can be determined by split seconds. Skating against g-force at high speed can cause unimaginable muscle pain, but for Bowe, the thrill of the race makes it all worth it. To learn more, visit teamusa.org.  The Animal Sculptures Giving New Life to Recycled Paper For Japanese artist Chie Hitotsuyama, paper is in her blood. In her grandfather's old paper-braiding factory, she creates lifelike sculptures of animals by using old newspaper rolled and twisted into intricate shapes. The Ancient Salt Pans of Peru Originally built by the Incas, the manmade salt pans in Maras, Peru, have endured for over 500 years. Beneath the Qaqawiñay mountains runs a salty fresh spring, which empties into 3,000 mountainside pools.
