I Can't With Louise Linton: When you wear indoor gloves, it's a legit moment

What the White House is Talking About:
President Trump went to Capitol Hill today to give remarks to the House Republican Conference, ahead of today's vote on tax reform

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
The accusations of sexual harassment against Sen. Al Franken. Also, it is very worth our time to read this well reported piece about the $15 million Congress has paid out (via taxpayer money) to victims of sexual harassment and discrimination on Capitol Hill.

"HAVE A GREAT LIFE!":
In two tweets this morning, the President acknowledged the statements of thanks the three UCLA basketball players read at a press conference yesterday, expressing their gratitude for helping to get them released from China after they were detained on charges of shoplifting.

Ivanka Speaks Out:
Ivanka Trump said there's "a special place in hell for people who prey on children," in response to a question from AP about the allegations made against Roy Moore. It's way more than her father has said about the issue (which is zero), and far more harsh than many others. However, she did not go so far as to say Moore should withdraw from the Alabama Senate race.

Our Daily Melania:
Big news from Melania Trump's inaugural gown designer Hervé Pierre -- he'll launch a capsule collection of 12 dresses early next month, according to WWD. The dresses will live under the label Atelier Caito for Hervé Pierre, and Pierre said in an interview that the collection was not produced with the first lady in mind. "She doesn't really know exactly all of the details, but she is aware. She is very excited, of course. It has nothing to do with her. When I look at the collection, maybe two pieces would be for her. But I didn't design with her in mind," said Pierre. The dresses will range in price from $1,700 to $7,000 -- 💰!

Turkey Time:
I have it on good authority that the White House in a couple of hours will officially announce the date of the Thanksgiving turkeys pardon -- so you guys can stop holding your breath because I know you've been waiting. I'm hearing it's going to be scheduled for early next week ...

Also, Christmas Tree Time:
The official White House Christmas tree will arrive at the North Portico and be greeted by Melania on Monday. It's an annual thing, it comes via horse-drawn wagon and there's a little photo op situation -- I'll be there, naturally. This year's tree is from Wisconsin and will go up in the White House's Blue Room.
I Can't With Louise Linton:
When you wear indoor gloves -- black, opera-length indoor gloves -- it's a legit moment. Steve Mnuchin's wife, Louise Linton, was apparently going hard for that moment when she posed with the sheet of dollar bills yesterday at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. I feel like I don't need to say a lot about this because Twitter yesterday pretty much took care of that, but this woman is the greatest gift to Washington in many years in that I can't help but watch her every cringe-y move.

Special Edition: Dress Like Louise Linton:
Because we have to.
The entire look is Michael Kors Collection. The blouse is $995, the gloves are $635, the belt is $450, and the leather skirt is $2,250. This is Linton yesterday, left, and this is how Kors showed the look in the season lookbook, right.

What Washington is Talking About:
House Repubs say they'll be able to pass their tax reform bill today. President Trump is on the Hill this morning to address them. Meanwhile, over in the Senate, Repubs are less confident they'll pass their tax reform bill. Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has come out against it and several other fellow Repubs are worried about certain items in the legislation.

What America is Talking About:
Leonardo da Vinci's "Salvator Mundi" set the record for most expensive artwork ever sold at an auction, for $450.3 million.

Poll of the Day:
A Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday found 50% of American voters think Obama is responsible for the current state of the economy, while 37% say Trump is. What really interested me was the 35% of Republicans who credit Obama and 29% of Democrats who credit Trump.

Franken Accused of Sexual Harassment:
Los Angeles news anchor Leeann Tweeden wrote an essay accusing Sen. Al Franken of kissing and groping her when they rehearsed for a 2006 USO Tour. The Minnesota Dem and SNL alum said in a statement, "I certainly don't remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann. As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn't. I shouldn't have done it."

Trump Silent on Moore:
Trump hasn't tweeted about Roy Moore. He had his first opportunity to answer press questions about the Senate candidate from Alabama yesterday when they were shouted out by reporters as he was leaving his thirsty, newsless speech, but he didn't answer them. It's a far cry from how he responded to allegations made against Anthony Weiner in 2013 during his mayoral run. Trump fired off no less than four Vines criticizing Weiner, including the memorable, "We don't want perverts in New York City. No perverts." He also, as of press time, hasn't commented on Franken yet.

Twitter Unverifies Alt-Right Users:
Twitter announced an update to its verification policies Wednesday, warning verified users they could lose their blue checkmark for behavior both on and off Twitter. Alt-right founder Richard Spencer and Charlottesville rally organizer Jason Kessler both lost their verification. And Baked Alaska, a former-BuzzFeed-employee-turned-MAGA-Internet celeb, was booted from the site.

Baked, real name Tim Gionet, live-streamed on YouTube for nearly nine hours about having his account suspended and how "the Baked Alaska brand is hot" because his suspension was receiving media attention. "They have to acknowledge me, I'm a celebrity," he said. He got mad about news reports that described "Baked Alaska" as his "Twitter nickname," saying, "that's my performance name." He also asked viewers to donate money "to show people still support Baked Alaska." He raised $1,000.

Kaepernick Met the OG Anthem Protesters:
Colin Kaepernick posted photos Wednesday with Tommie Smith and John Carlos, the American Olympians who raised their fists in protest at the 1968 Olympics, holding #InWithKap shirts. He wrote in the caption:

"l have read about them, studied their public protest, admired their courage, and like many others, l have emulated them, raising my fist as both a symbol of celebrating my Blackness, and acknowledging our connected struggles. But this was different. Hearing them tell their stories, sharing behind the scenes insights into the sacrifices that they willingly made, and the ostracization that was forced upon them...all that I could do was listen, take notes, and soak in the elders wisdom."

Kaepernick's stylist, Rachel Johnson, told Refinery29 that for the GQ shoot, Kaepernick wanted to wear clothing and accessories by designers who were people of color or women. Johnson said some of them "cried" when they heard their work made the magazine.

Sarah P's in Town:
She was once 8.5 million votes away from being one heartbeat away from the presidency, and she memorably campaigned for the man who now lives there, but on Wednesday, Sarah Palin was standing outside the White House. She posted on Instagram yesterday that she took a red-eye flight from Alaska to Washington and posed in front of the barricades on Pennsylvania Avenue. Palin was spotted walking through the Senate basement today by our Jeremy Herb.

Cards for Trump:
World Net Daily, a site that traffics in conspiracy theories and fake news, is asking readers to sign a card to thank Trump for his first-year accomplishments. I appreciate the different themed designs, parodying Trump's campaign signs and the "What Happened" cover.
