What Washington is Talking About: How badly the Redskins blew it last night, and how really, really, really hard it is to be a D.C. sports fan. Also, good luck making the playoffs now, guys. McMaster May Have Called Trump a "Kindergartner" At Dinner: Um, big if true. BuzzFeed reports National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster used a few choice words to describe his boss during a private dinner in July with the CEO of Oracle. CNN Breaks News of Another Al Franken Incident: MJ Lee this morning exclusively reported on another alleged groping incident by Senator Al Franken, in 2010 at the Minnesota State Fair. Lindsay Menz says he grabbed her as the two were having their photo taken. Listen, the whole thing is disturbing and, frankly, nauseating, but I'm personally most annoyed by Franken's response -- which by the way, doesn't sound like a denial. Would love to know your thoughts on it, feel free to email me. | | Credit: cnn.com Status Update, the Russia Investigation: Things are heating up again with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, which means more members of Trump's administration are going to be interviewed. Here's a list and a helpful rundown of where everything stands. But First, Tweets: We've seen a bevy of topics over the past 24 hours from the president -- we got NFL, we got the wall, we got tax reform, we got why you shouldn't shoplift in China. It's a lot. This one, though, was special if only for the employment of the parenthetical. Trump did wish people a happy Thanksgiving this morning, in person, before the Cabinet meeting. It was nice, but somehow didn't bring me as many smiles as did this greeting from 2013 #neverforget. | | Credit: @realDonaldTrump/Twitter THE TURKEYS NEED YOUR VOTE: It's also that time of year when we have to make the difficult decision about which official turkey Trump will pardon tomorrow. The turkeys arrived in DC over the weekend and there's a whole video showing them checking into The Willard hotel, no joke. | | Credit: @whitehouse/Twitter Bios on the two birds, named Drumstick and Wishbone, can be seen in the pic below, and voting can be done by clicking the link here. Well, not really, but let's play along, shall we? | | Credit: @WhiteHouse/Twitter Our Daily Melania: In keeping with the holiday spirit, this afternoon Melania Trump will welcome the official White House Christmas tree to the North Portico. I'll be there, so feel free to follow what I'm sure will be my live-tweeting of the event because I have no shame and I am excited by traditions and holidays. Hi, I'm Kate. RIP, Azzedine Alaia: Had to make quick mention of the passing of one of the great fashion designers, Azzedine Alaia, who died over the weekend at the age of 82. Alaia was famous for form-fitting dresses with impeccable detail and tailoring, clothes that essentially changed the landscape of design in the '80s and '90s. Michelle Obama wore Alaia when she was first lady, and Melania wore one of his iconic belts as recently as several days ago. On her last day visiting China, walking the Great Wall, she wore this $1,640 laser-cut belt, a signature Alaia design. | | Credit: Nicolas Asfouri/AFP/Getty Images | | | | | |
