What the White House is Talking About:
There is nothing on President Trump's official schedule today. However, he did head back to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, where he spent time on Saturday and Sunday -- even though it's rainy outside.

What the White House Press Corps is Talking About:
The spat between Sen. Bob Corker and Trump playing out publicly -- and where it could go from here.
Corker said the President could be putting us "on the road to World War III."

Also, yeah, POTUS is playing golf. Per the pool: "We are rolling. POTUS motorcade departed WH at 11:15 a.m. We shot video of POTUS getting into a black SUV wearing a baseball cap, a windbreaker and white shoes. Along with President Trump, Sen. Lindsay Graham also entered the SUV in golf attire. Earlier, we saw what appeared to be golf clubs being placed in the back of one of the black SUVs. Trump National in Sterling, Virginia, is approximately 20 miles from the White House."

New Details on Russia:
CNN has new reporting on that meeting Donald Trump Jr. had with a Russian lawyer last summer at Trump Tower -- a lawyer representing one of the meeting's backers said the purpose for the meeting had nothing to do with dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Our Daily Melania:
The first lady is spending the long weekend in Mar-a-Lago with Barron, her office tells CNN's Betsy Klein. Tomorrow, however, she's back to work with a day trip to West Virginia to spend time at Lily's Place, a center that helps babies born addicted to opioids and other drugs. The move is another indication that Melania intends to make the opioid crisis in this country one of her key platform issues.
Ken Bone Resurfaces Because of Course He Does:
Remember when the red-sweatered Ken Bone became the poster child for undecideds during campaign season? And then he took that 15-minutes-of-fame ride that America grants everyone who gives us a collective chuckle. Well, if you were wondering what he's up to, Washingtonian senior staff writer Luke Mullins has a fun long-read piece for CNN's State magazine. It's worth the time if you're having a slow holiday Monday. The Ken Fowler illustration of Bone is also very cool:

Trump's Cabinet is Used to Wealthy Ways:
It's a fact that most of the Trump administration Cabinet members are rich, very rich, and that could be why they're having some trouble adjusting to the rules and travel guidelines imposed by the government, or so suggests The Washington Post

Speaking of Wealthy Habits:
Former President Barack Obama has joined (another) posh DC-area country club. In the spring, Obama joined the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, and now he's been accepted to Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Columbia's board of directors sent out a letter to members Thursday, according to the Washingtonian, saying the club had extended an invitation for Obama to join, and that he had accepted. Obama does love his golf games and he's played at Columbia already a bunch of times, often with Tony Kornheiser, who is a member.
She's Running:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein announced this morning that she's running for reelection next year. I did a double-take when I saw her age -- she's 84. That's impressive. If she wins, the next term will be up in 2015, when she'll be 91.

My Boss Has a Side Gig:
You know how sometimes when you see someone from work, like your boss, do something outside of work, and it's weird, but also fun? That was basically my Saturday night. A few of us went to watch Antoine Sanfuentes, managing editor of White House and Capitol Hill coverage, play drums with his band, The Linemen, in a John Lennon tribute show. He was good -- and it's always nice to know that hardworking journalists clinging to normalcy in this hectic news cycle can do other things. Also, this is a test to see if Antoine reads COVER/LINE, because he tells me he does, but I don't actually believe him.

What Washington is Talking About:
Sen. Bob Corker's concerns about President Trump, which he said are shared by most Senate Repubs. The big question is how many of them are going to talk publicly about it like he did?

The Senate is out all week and the House returns Tuesday.

What America is Talking About:
The Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster, who resigned after video appeared to show him snorting cocaine.

What Hollywood is Talking About:
Harvey Weinstein has been pushed out of the Weinstein Company. And some Democrats he's donated to said they'll donate to charitable groups, including Cory Booker, Al Franken, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren.

Russians Bought Ads on Google Too:
A Google investigation found tens of thousands of dollars in ads were purchased by Russian operatives across different sites including Google search, YouTube and Gmail, according to The Washington Post.

Trump's Digital Director Talks the Campaign's Facebook Strategy:
Brad Parscale told "60 Minutes" the campaign would average up to 60,000 different variations of Facebook ads a day, tinkering with colors, words, or design to make them more effective and target specific types of voters and that the social network sent employees to embed with the campaign, an offer he said the Clinton campaign did not take Facebook up on. He said:

"These social platforms are all invented by very liberal people on the West and East Coast.  And we figure out how to use it to push conservative values. I don't think they thought that would ever happen."

The RNC is Making Bank Off Trump:
The Republican Party is on track to raise more than $40 million from small-dollar contributors, more than it has in over a decade, thanks in part to emails they write in Trump's voice. The Post's Matea Gold has a story on it where the RNC's chief digital officer, Samantha Osbourne, said Trump's supporters "know his voice and the way he communicates" and in their emails sent in his name, they try to "emulate" it, "keeping it authentic" lol.

It Cost Almost a Quarter of a Million Dollars for Pence to go to a Few Minutes of an NFL Game:
Oh, you thought the anthem protest story was over? It's not over. Vice President Pence's trip to the Colts-49ers game in Indianapolis for a few minutes this weekend cost about about $242,500, according to estimates based on Air Force figures. He flew from Las Vegas to Indianapolis then back across the country to Los Angeles following his brief visit to the game. Here's the photo that those nearly quarter-of-a-million dollar flights got us, that Pence posted to Twitter:

Before the game, NBC's Vaughn Hillyard, the pool reporter with Pence, was told by a Pence staff member that the VP might be leaving early. About 20 members of the 49ers knelt during the anthem. Pence bolted and tweeted that he left because players disrespected the soldiers, flag and anthem. Trump tweeted that he told Pence to go to the game and leave if players didn't stand and that it was "long planned." 49ers safety Eric Reid told the press, "this looks like a PR stunt to me."

White Supremacists Return to Charlottesville:
They carried tiki torches (I guess this is their thing now?), they marched to a Robert E. Lee statue, chanted "You will not replace us" and "The South will rise again/Russia is our friend," and vowed to come back.

Heads Up, Guys, Beware Fake DJTJ Instas:
Donald Trump Jr. posted a screenshot this weekend of an imposter Instagram account posing as him with only 27 followers. "Just a heads up," he wrote in the caption. Then, in the comments section, he defended posting about it to people. @donaldjtrumpjr5 has been disabled, but thanks for warning everyone, DJTJ.

Bryce Harper Wore Cleats Honoring the Las Vegas Shooting Victims:
He wore the Under Armour cleats to Friday's Game 1 of the National League Division Series and tagged Miami artist Soles by Sir, who paints one-of-a-kind shoes for pro athletes.
