"They will not be forgotten." 10/25/19 Making Holocaust Archives Available to Everyone Allan Brauner is a Holocaust researcher. His late mother Margaret Brauner, who lived from 1924 to 2017, was a Holocaust survivor. He discovered her name, the number tattooed on her arm and her signature on a list of female prisoners held at Auschwitz by the Nazis. There are 227 names on the list, and Brauner has made it his personal journey to discover more about these people so their stories will not be forgotten. . Thanks to Ancestry and the Arolsen Archives, their stories are being preserved through free, searchable collections online. We accompany Brauner as he travels to the Arolsen Archives in Bad Arolsen, Germany in search of new information.  This Great Big Story is by Ancestry. The Amazing Bike Machines of Guatemala Bike machines, or "bicimaquinas," are changing people's lives in San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala. The unique stationary bicycles have been altered to function as human powered machines that can do everything from washing clothes, to blending and shelling nuts.
