Caged in a War Zone
Imagine being trapped in a cage as active combat rages around you. That's the terrifying reality for zoo animals living in war zones. Veterinarian Amir Khalil is saving as many as he can, rushing into trouble spots around the globe, treating and evacuating shell-shocked, starving and injured animals.
Snowboarding Without the Snow
In the early 1990s, Jason Lee and a buddy built a snowboard/skateboard hybrid with a little mountain bike thrown in, dubbed it the mountainboard and created what would become mountainboarding. The board sport offers the thrills of snowboarding, but you don't need snow. Or mountains even. We'll let Jason show you where and how it's done.

Badger Flame beet ring a bell? Butterfly sorrel? Oca? How about ice plant? We were stumped, too, but intrigued.
