The Future of Fashion at London's Fashion Week

There is a lot of waste in fashion, and Tolu Coker doesn't see the need for it. The London-based fashion and textile designer repurposes discarded denim in her designs as a way of promoting sustainability. She also casts only black models in her fashion shows, hoping to normalize diversity to her audience. Each move is part of an effort to build more than a brand—this rising star is using fashion as a way to promote meaningful conversation.

He's Multi-Cultural By Design

Fusing fabrics like tweed produced by the top mills in Scotland with colors, patterns, prints and silhouettes inspired by Scotland and Jamaica, Nicholas Daley's eponymous menswear line is full of expertly-crafted garments made for the modern man. Why the fascination with Scotland and Jamaica? It's in his DNA. The London-based designer's mother hails from Scotland, and his father is from Jamaica.

A Business For Women, Made to Measure

We all wear clothes, so you would think there would be plenty of tailors catering to women on London's Savile Row, known the world round as the place to go for bespoke garments. Nope. The tailors on the famed street have historically focused on menswear. That is, until Phoebe Gormley altered the landscape when she opened the street's first tailor for womenswear only.
